Darwin's spectacular sunsets provide a perfect backdrop for the city's AFL 9s
The Darwin season of Cadbury AFL9s is well and truly underway with 11 teams fighting it out to see who will be the Champions for 2012.
Darwin’s balmy 25 degree evenings and spectacular sunsets provide the perfect setting to play in a fast, fun and friendly atmosphere.
Many teams are venturing into AFL for the first time and the response has been overwhelming.
Nighthawks captain, Helen Fairhurst said, “It’s been great. I’ve never played AFL before, but the rules allow it possible for us girls to mix it with the boys and all the teams play it in the right spirit.”
The Darwin season concludes on October 9.
